This card has meant a new life to
so many of the people who have come to
Our House over the past thirty years. From many different backgrounds and
with many different needs, they all have one thing in common: they are
addicted.
Sadly, today nearly everyone
knows someone who is personally affected by addictions, whether their own, a
family member's or friend's, or someone in their workplace.
People often don't understand that all addictions are the same in the
important areas, and respond to the same care and treatment. Alcohol,
heroin, crack, internet porn, food: it's the same beast.
Through Our House, addicts get help with no judging, no shame. Often that's
all they need to start the long road back.
A portion of the proceeds from each copy of
Sanity365: Daily Help
for Sane Living goes to support the Our House program, an
ongoing, thirty-year outreach to addicts in Recovery.
Our House runs on the
kindness of our patrons, who donate everything from food and dishes, furniture and cars,
to paper and postage, and their services.
